Cowboys' Orlando Scandrick lands in Woodland Hills

Orlando Scandrick exited Hollywood Hills last month with the sale of his Modern home, but the Dallas Cowboys defensive back didn’t stray too far.

Scandrick has purchased a home in Woodland Hills for $1.755 million.

Built in 1965, the updated Contemporary sits beneath mature trees on nearly a half-acre in the Forest Hills enclave. The single-story residence sports an open floor plan with a chef’s kitchen, a formal dining room, five bedrooms and 3.75 baths in slightly over 5,100 square feet of living space.

Among the home's features is a living room with glass accent panels, a wine pantry and a large entertainer’s patio with a pool and outdoor kitchen. At the rear of the property, a private pathway leads down the hillside to a river rock pond and waterfall.

The Torrance native, 27, was drafted by Dallas in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Now in his seventh year with the team, he had two interceptions in 16 games for the Cowboys last season.

Records show that the Forest Hills property originally came to market in May with an asking price of $1.85 million. Phyliss Rabin of Dilbeck Realtors was the listing agent. Lee Mintz of Partners Trust Real Estate Brokerage and Acquisitions represented Scandrick in the sale.

In late August, Scandrick parted ways with his residence in Hollywood Hills. The 3,353-square-foot home, with telescoping walls and views of downtown Los Angeles, sold for $2.1 million.
